So I found this awesome and super simple tutorial on Japanese braiding.  And I mean, what geek wouldn't be into Japanese braiding?  If you're not, think about it - the Japanese made pretty much everything that we love.  Where do you think anime, pokemon and nintendo came from? Exactly.  So - on to the braiding.  This tutorial is super simple to follow.  You just download the template, trace it onto a cereal box (or some tagboard, or something of the sort), cut out the slits and punch a hole into the middle.  Then you take your string and string it through the hole and basically rotate the thing and move the strings down until you get the length you want.  So simple!  And it looks really cool.  I think I'm going to try it with some interesting color combinations.  Also, I'm probably going to use some embroidery thread, because I think personally I would like the look better.  What variations will you try?  I'd love to hear them!  Post pictures and descriptions in the comments!  Click below to go to the tutorial.  Also, if you have any other fun tutorials related to this one, post a link in the comments as well!

ハッピー編組   (That means Happy braiding in Japanese... I think...that's what google translate told me anyways.  I'm not quite familiar with Japanese.  My boyfriend is, that's how much Anime he's watched.  He likes talking to me in Japanese sometimes, and I just look at him like he's crazy because I'm not sure how to feel about him having watched so much anime that he knows how to speak Japanese. But anyways..Happy braiding!)
