Hey guys!  So yesterday was my second craft show, and it was down in Milwaukee.  Well, apparently Milwaukee was a good place to go because it was successful   I can't quit my day job yet, but I did make some money, and got a lot of feedback as well!  The great part is that it was good feedback.  I also made a couple connections and found out about some places that I could go to sell more stuff!  I'm also working on getting everything up on my Etsy shop tonight.  Whatever I didn't sell will be up there!  So go check it out.  If you were at the show then thanks for coming, I appreciate your support!  Keep watch for my post about the next show.  I don't know what I'm doing yet but I will be figuring it out very soon.  I only have 2 more weeks of school, and after that I plan on doing a couple weeks of relaxing.   I sure need it, it's been a brutal year so far, but in a good way, I've accomplished a lot and I'm very proud of myself.  If you aren't feeling the greatest about yourself lately, go out and do something productive.  It doesn't matter what it is, as long as you enjoy doing it.  I promise, it will spiral into a whole new way of living for you, because you will want to do more and more.  It doesn't have to be work either, I mean, your back or feet don't have to hurt when your done.  There's a lot of productive stuff I get done while I'm sitting down.  Just use your brain once or twice everyday, instead of just going through the motions.  You'll get wherever you want to go, I promise!

Well, it's not a baby, not a human baby at least.  It's a new puppy!  My mom called me the other day and told me she was going to get a new puppy who looked almost identical to our Puck.  Well, he does, sort of.  He is a mix of Pomeranian and Chihuahua.  He's adorable.  Now, he could never replace Puck, and he will never be a replacement to Puck.  He is his own dog, and we love him to pieces no matter what!  His personality is way different too.  He loves to snuggle and to be petted, and him and Sapphire are getting along just great! Sapphire seems really happy to have a friend to play with again.  My mom is really happy too, which is great.  It's very exciting.  I had to do an update on the puppy, because you already know about all the other pets.  If not, check it out under the About Me section.

His name is Cubby, and he is one year old this month.  Here he is!  I will upload more pictures of him soon!

Only 5 more days until my craft show.  I'm very nervous.  I'm working on getting all the finishing touches put on everything.  I started to set up a practice display yesterday, and I'm glad I did! I had no idea how to display some of my items, but I came up with some great ideas. I also discovered I was short a couple of items, I needed to fill up my shelves a little bit more. Next week I will be posting a behind the scenes look at how I got ready for my show.  I think I did a pretty good job, considering I had no idea what I was doing. Ha! We'll see if it worked or not.  Usually I kinda just start doing things that feel right and they end up working themselves out.
So if you guys are in the Green Bay area this Saturday, stop by Bayport High School from 9am-2pm and visit my booth!  If you aren't in the Green Bay area, then you will just have to be patient until next week when I post all of the pictures and video from the show, and put the unsold items in my Etsy shop.  Or - find a craft show in your area.  If you've never been to one, you need to go.  They are so much fun. Even if you don't have the extra money or you don't plan on buying anything, it's still a lot of fun to look at the amazing creations that are there.  The administrators always make sure there is a wide variety of items, to make it enjoyable for you. So do something fun, and get outside! It's starting to warm up!  Seriously, I saw grass yesterday.

Yay for warm weather!  Get your shorts on and go play tennis.  Well, maybe not quite.  I have a feeling the tennis courts are still pretty icy, or in a deep puddle by now.  Haha, don't take my advice about winter, I'm from Wisconsin, and we are freaking nuts.  A couple months ago I went out in a blizzard and like 7 inches of fresh now because I realllly wanted a soda, but I was out.  It was a satisfying soda though, I can tell you that.

Have a great week guys!  Hopefully I will see you this weekend, and if you went to any shows leave a comment about how it was!

Hello!!

So as of today, I'm assuming that only a few people are going to actually read this.  But if you are, then listen up!  I haven't been giving much time to this blog, and I'm definately going to start!  I'm hoping to have a bunch of new subscribers in the next couple months.  So here comes my news bulletin:

First of all, I booked my very first craft show!  I'm super excited.  I have been to craft shows before, my mom used to do them all the time.  However, this is the first one that is all my stuff, not somebody else's.  If your in the Green Bay, WI area, come check them out!

The first one is March 16th at BayPort High School, from 9am to 2pm.

The second one I booked is April 27th, and it's in Milwaukee!  It's from 9am to 4pm at the Villa St. Francis on West Ohio Avenue.  This one is HUGE.  Three floors of vendors and tons of advertising.

So obviously for a craft show you need inventory to sell.  That's my big project this month, since I don't really have much right now.  Most of the things in my Etsy shop I make to order.  I've got all the materials I need though, so I've just been working away!  I've got to make all the product, and put together all the displays, make sure I have everything I need, and organize my finances.  I'm sure there's more I'm not thinking of.  I'm making a lot of new items, but I'm not putting them into my shop until after the first craft show.  I need to make sure I have enough stuff to sell!  After the show, if I still have a lot of inventory, it will all be going in the shop, as long as I think I'll be able to make enough for the Milwaukee show.  Since I've never done one before I'm being very cautious.

Now onto the blog.

I am going to start writing EVERY DAY.  Ok, almost, don't get too mad if there isn't a post one day.  I am going to try to do something everyday, whether it's a blog post, or a tutorial, or just a fun find on Etsy or on the interwebs.  I DO have some AWESOME ideas though.  Ok, I'll give you a sneak peak at what I'm going to have coming up!

How to: Comic Book Nails!
My first craft show: A Video diary!
How to: Flower Faeries
Craft room organization tips

There's more, but they aren't super concrete ideas yet.  Look for those all within the next month or so!  The best way is to SUBSCRIBE to get weekly updates about the blog.  I'm also going to be having some fun contests.  It'll bring out your creative side!

So yea, lots of fun stuff, don't miss it!  Make sure to subscribe, comment, like, and share and whatnot.

Click on that!  They are all so adorable!  What a perfect way to start my day.  It's a collection of adorable baby animals.  If you don't like baby animals it means you are dead inside!  They are so tiny and fluffy and cuddly!  I think I'm going to go get a baby kitten RIGHT NOW.  Even though my boyfriend is allergic..he will deal with it.  He will see the baby kitten and he will suffer but be happy about it because he is cuddling with an adorable baby kitten.  Does anybody have a little baby animal?  Post links to pictures in the comments!  I would love to see them and be all like "AWWW!" some more!

My boyfriend and I recently moved into a new apartment.  It'll be our second place together.  It is more than twice as big as our first apartment, and we absolutely love it.  We decided that we wanted to make the place feel more put together.  Our first place was so small that it was difficult to do any decorating.  So we choose to do some geeky things so make our apartment feel like home!  The projects that we did is what inspired me to open my own Etsy shop.  I am so proud of the things that we did, and I love how our place looks.  It is so roomy and comfortable, and it feels like home.  I wanted to share it with you guys, and maybe it will inspire you to add some geek to your place!  The pictures are here -- go check them out!  Tell me what you think in the comments!
